Contains 545 letters between a WWII soldier, Forrest Miller, and his parents, girlfriend and eventual wife, Grace Helen Grimes,
and friends. Letters are handwritten and typescript in various formats such as airmail and v-mail. Also contains two photographs
of Miller as an infant and upon his return from the Army and other related ephemera including envelopes, greeting cards, clippings,
programs, etc. Most of the correspondence originates with Miller from the various places he is stationed including Maryland,
California, Australia, England, France, and Germany. 21 of the letters are from his friend, Corporal Earl H. Reimert. 18 of
those are addressed to Miller's parents and 3 are addressed to Grace Grimes. Includes 4 letters from Corporal Robert P. Grimes
to his sister, Grace, and some other miscellaneous correspondents.

Forrest Winfield Miller (born May 23, 1921 in Reading, Pennsylvania) entered the U.S. Army on August 19, 1942 at Fort Meade,
Maryland and was discharged on January 19, 1946 at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation, Pennsylvania. He served as a clerical
worker for the 78th General Hospital (name changed to the 348th Station Hospital in 1945) in Maryland, California, Australia,
England, France and Germany, rising in rank from private to corporal.
